Magazine show featuring the latest in consumer electronics

The Gadget Show started on Channel Five in 2004. It is presented by Suzi Perry, Jon Bentley and Jason Bradbury. For the second series in early 2005, Spencer Kelly joined the presenting team.

Each programme features a collection of reports by the presenters. The reports are mainly about consumer electronics such as mobile phones, televisions and DVD players, for example. However, the show also features some more theoretical items such as explaining how web search engines work.

In many ways the programme is similar to the long running BBC programme Tomorrow's World, especially in terms of its style of presentation and its predictions of the way things might be done in the future. Tomorrow's World was a science programme, and featured a very wide range of items relating to all scientific fields, from biology to physics. The Gadget Show on the other hand, focuses squarely on technology that the viewer is likely to use personally.
