Children's game show in which two teams of 50 children compete against each other

Each edition of 50/50 features two teams from different schools. One team wears yellow and the other team wears blue. The teams sit opposite each other in the studio, positioned like spectators in a stadium. The main game-play area is between where the two teams sit.

For most rounds, a few children from each team will get to play. These children are chosen by a random number generator. The rest of the children will be spectators for that round. Other rounds involve answering questions by voting. Each team gets points equalling the number of children in that team that got the answer for that question correct. The games themselves are usually inflatable obstacle course games such as those on Get Your Own Back, Run the Risk or Fun House. Each programme also usually has general knowledge and observation rounds.

50/50 was first broadcast on CBBC in 1997 and was initially presented by Sally Gray. Since then it has been presented by Angellica Bell and is currently presented by Sophie McDonnell. It is made by the BBC.
