Docusoap based in London's Heathrow airport

Airport was one of the first docusoaps on British television. Like all docusoaps, it follows the day to day occurances that affect the few members of staff that the programme makers chose to follow.

These events usually involve missing passengers or celebrities arriving or departing, to or from the airport. One of the staff, Jeremy Spake, became a minor celebrity in the late nineties, when the programme's popularity was at its highest.

Airport is made by the BBC. It started in the mid 90's and is still currently running. Until recently, it was narrated by John Nettles.
